Meet Mike

I have been a psychotherapist for over 35 years, where I have assisted clients across many settings to include: Residential Treatment Centers, Community Mental Health, Group Therapy, Parent Coaching and Crisis Intervention. I have experience also working as a Mobile Crisis Intervention Therapist. My therapeutic practice is an integrative blend of utilizing Family Focused, DBT, CBT and Internal Family Systems.

I am a graduate of Rutgers College and the University of Pennsylvania. I earned his Masters degree in 1988 in Psychology. I am a QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor. For the past 15yrs, I have worked in the NOVA area as a Crisis Intervention Specialist and Mobile Crisis Intervention Specialist. I have been privileged to be work collaboratively with community-based agencies and members of the community to seek resources and positive outcomes to those in need.

In addition, I am also a yoga teacher and practitioner for the past 16 years having taught to various populations and age groups. I believe that there is a strong mind/body connection. I seek to provide guidance for meditation and yoga practices that benefit all aspects of a person’s life.Yoga and meditation are empowering practices that focus on mindfulness, philosophy, and a balance of strength and flexibility.
The body-mind-spirit connection is an integral part of my teaching, with particular emphasis on the breath as the connector.

I’m here to help. I will respect your integrity and pace. I seek to help individuals see their truths and walk their life in a healthier way including coming to healthier resolutions about past and current difficulties.
