Individual Therapy (Children, Teens, Adults)


No matter the size of your support network, sometimes it’s nice to seek someone outside of your circle with whom to talk and seek help. Maybe you’re feeling down lately, struggling with loss or a big life change, confused about your own behavior or trying to seek positive ways to express yourself. No matter what you (or a loved one) are going through, we can help through individual therapy.

Our team has years of experience working with children to adults. Depending on an initial assessment and interview, we can help determine which of our therapists and therapy treatments might be the best fit.

Read below for examples on which techniques are utilized for a few common mental health disorders.

DEPRESSION

Isolation, struggling with feelings of worthlessness, hopelessness, feeling sad most of the day for more days than not, losing interest in things one used to enjoy, or even feeling like life is not worth living, can be depression.  At Simply Mindful Solutions, LLC, we can help. Our clinicians are trained to recognize and treat the signs of depression in all ages (because it can present differently depending on one’s age). We work collaboratively with physicians, psychiatrists, pediatricians, school counselors, family members, and other treatment providers with your permission in order to provide support and identify steps towards wellness.

Our trauma-informed therapists typically use methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Expressive Therapies such as Sand and Play Therapy to assist in treating depression.

ANXIETY

Some anxiety and hyper-arousal can certainly be a good thing, as it helps with motivation and developing resiliency. However, when anxiety becomes debilitating, it is time to seek help. Anxiety is known to be one of the most treatable mental health issues. Fortunately, the therapists at Simply Mindful Solutions are experienced in treating anxiety with a variety of methods.

We are able to treat all types of anxiety concerns, including but not limited to Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic Attacks, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Separation Anxiety Disorder, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

LOSS

Loss, no matter how big or small, can impact us at any age. Sometimes we need to process these events with a professional through the use of talk therapy, play or expressive therapies for younger children, or more brain-based treatments such as hypnosis or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Our therapists at Simply Mindful Solutions, LLC,  have extensive experience in treating those who have experienced grief and loss. Whatever the modality you may need, our clinicians are skilled in meeting you where you are and seeing you through life’s difficult times.
