Last fall, the First Lady of Virginia Suzanne S. Youngkin and award-winning social psychologist, author, and researcher Dr. Jonathan Haidt sat down at Old Bridge Elementary School in Prince William County to discuss his book, The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness. The findings in his book can support schools and communities as they work to reduce the use of social media and cell phones, while restoring playtime and the spirit of childhood.
